As Director of Training and Transformation, Scott creates training and resource pathways for others to make an impact. He is the lead resources creator and presenter for the Impact Institute and has empowered over 400 nonprofit teams to unleash their potential to serve others, particularly around fundraising based on the FundingLogic framework, of which he is a co-creator.
In 2000, he was appointed Chair of the North Dakota Youth Development Council by Governor John Hoeven, and began serving on several nonprofit boards. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies & Nonprofits from the University of North Dakota. As a junior, Scott was named Executive Chair of the Nonprofit Student Association, where he established a forward-thinking structure to allow students to maximize their collegiate experience with nonprofit work. During this time, he also worked for Northlands Rescue Mission of Grand Forks, serving as the Major Gifts and Public Relations Officer. Scott is also certified in Fundraising Management from the Indiana University School of Fundraising and is a certified Nonprofit Management Professional through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Scott speaks all over the United States and has taught numerous sessions for universities such as the University of North Dakota, Minnesota State University Moorhead, the University of Jamestown, and Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota.
Scott and his wife, Erin, are parents to two lovely little girls and happily live in Fargo, North Dakota (like the movie, but better).
